With a theatrical roll of her eyes, Mack shot another look at the manager. He seemed distracted talking to some patrons so she immediately abandoned her half-filled salt shaker, instead crossing her arms over her chest and leaning against the counter.
"Puh-leeze. Stop acting like little miss sunshine. We work a crap job, crap hours and this place is crap." Mack kept shooting glances at the manager, although she didn't know why she cared. It wasn't like he would actually fire her. "Seriously, though, are you goin' with me or no?"
