No one could pinpoint who came up with the idea for Wonderland Mardi Gras, but Freya ended up in the center of it and, in turn, so did Chloe. Lucifer was more than happy to host the event which was less French Quarter and more a Fat Tuesday stereotype that got drunk and threw up all over Deux Lux, what with the purple streamers and glittery gold tinsel dropping from the ceiling.
The mansion loved it, though. Most of them embraced the masks, or came loaded with ridiculous beads to trade for dares. Chloe split off to find Freya part way through the night, unsurprised to see her dancing on the bar. Freya waved her over and Chloe came along with an eye-roll.
"You were serious about that table dancing thing, huh?" Chloe couldn't hear herself over the drone of voices and music, and apparently neither could Freya, because she reached down instead and gestured for Chloe to get up on the bar. Chloe was far enough into the night and few drinks that she clamored up on a bar stood, holding out her arms to steady herself as she shouted to Freya, "I am not dancing on a bar!"
"Yes you are, no excuses," Freya replied, grabbing Chloe's hand and pulling her up from the stool. She shifted her hips and started to dance and Chloe, ever watchful, carefully followed her lead until they both were giggling and twirling around the bar like rock stars, hands spread towards Lux's high ceilings, blonde hair flipping everywhere without, at least for a few hours, a single care in the world.
