It had been a couple days since Myka had heard from Leonardo. She wasn't exactly concerned; they weren't dating, but they were friends and she tried to keep tabs on what was going on with him just so things didn't get awkward. Myka wasn't exactly the booty call kind.

But her collar was getting a little annoying and she missed his company, so Myka decided to show up unannounced at his place armed with a bottle of vodka and a smile. Her hair was pulled back in a controlled but still casual ponytail, and she tapped her foot impatiently as she waited for him to answer the door. When he finally did, her smile brightened even more.

"Hey there, stranger."

"My dear friend," he said putting his hand on hers for a brief moment, "Nothing is wrong between us. Just the idea distresses me. Come, sit, let's talk."

He took both cups of tea and went into the living room, sitting down in one of the chairs and putting the tea on the coasters, motioning for her to take the chair across from him.

Myka settled into her chair, picking up her tea and taking a sip. She stared at him for a long moment before she spoke again.

"To be entirely honest I didn't exactly come here with the most pure of intentions," she admitted. "I, uh... I mean I wanted to check up on you but, well, you know." She gestured to her collar. "I figured we had some catching up to do in more ways than one, if you know what I mean."

He stared at her blankly, his own collar ten days tight and causing bruising at his neck. His cheeks went red and he turned away.

"I, well...um..." he said sipping at his tea, "I didn't expect that, honestly."

"Well, maybe you should have," Myka said flatly, pointing now to his own collar. Her face illustrated the fact that not only was she not the least bit impressed, she was actually a little angry. "Why didn't you call me?"

His head dropped and he shook it.

"Because I wouldn't dishonor you like that," he said firmly, "Not unless you wish to be wed to me."

"What?"

Myka almost dropped her tea. She set it down quickly, her mouth still hanging open as she stared at him in disbelief. Who is this guy?

"Okay, first off we... We are not going to be wed and second? What the hell is going on here? Last time we hung out, you..." she laughed nervously. "You definitely were not concerned about 'dishonoring' me."

"I was wrong. I shouldn't have done that. I dishonored you and dishonored myself in the eyes of God," he said making the mark of the cross and looking up at the ceiling. Everything he did was pathetically sincere.

It was so pathetically sincere that Myka thought she might barf.

"Okay..." She nodded slowly and leaned forward, her voice dropping. "Is this... Some kind of weird sex roleplay thing? Because if it is I'm totally game - I guess - but I'd like to be a little clued in first."

She'd never really considering the whole, sexually confidant woman/nervous school boy act but hey, whatever got the job done.

"Se-" he said unable to get the word out, "I wouldn't play with any sort of intentions. I understand now that everything I did in the past was a mistake. My appetites aren't worth my soul and I need to amend my ways."

Now, Myka was starting to get a little irritated. Didn't people usually have a safe word for this kind of thing? But if it was an act, he was dedicated enough to his role to start making her nervous.

"What you need to do is take care of that collar before it strangles you to death," she snapped.

"I am going to die. I have a few days, but I am going to hope my sacrifice might cleans my soul of it's ill deeds. Well, perhaps not the first one, but the next dozen or so. The things I've done. You wouldn't believe. I wouldn't dare speak of them with a lady present. I wouldn't speak of them without a priest to bless the room," he said with a shiver. He seemed honestly upset about the things he had done, the way he'd acted in the past. The sex was bad enough, but the dead bodies were where he had truly crossed the line.

Myka was started to freak out a little bit. The more he talked, the more she realized this wasn't an act; he actually believed what he was saying and she didn't like it at all.

"Okay, first off... I'm not some kind of weird wilting flower so stop acting like you're 'protecting' me. Secondly, unless you've conveniently forgotten? We're already had sex. A lot. A lot of... Really, really good sex if I do say so myself and that aside?" She leaned forward. "You're my friend. And especially after that impassioned speech you gave me before I went into the hospital, you're an idiot if you think I'm just going to stand around and do nothing while I watch you die."

His cheeks went red which each time she said sex and his ears turned pink when she said it was good. He did his best to look ashamed, but his body was still stirring.

"And what will you do when I don't or can't allow you to...stop what needs to happen?"

Pressing her lips together, Myka stood up and started unbuttoning her shirt. This was stupid and obnoxious but she'd honestly rather him hate her in the morning with a loose collar than deal with him dying. Besides, if this was a curse - which it obviously was - maybe having sex would end it.

"I'm going to make it very difficult for you to say no," she said, slipping her shirt off and throwing it at him.

His eyes shut as her fingers started to expose flesh. He turned his head away and felt the fabric of her shirt in his fingers. He was instantly indignant.

"Please, don't degrade yourself. This is madness and against my will. Please, just stop now."

She moved towards him, her posture more nervous than predatory. Myka knelt down at his feet and took his hand in hers, gripping it fiercely.

"Leonard, please... please don't do this," she whispered. She could feel the emotion building in her throat as she spoke. "I've lost a lot of people. I saw the man I loved die. Whatever you think you are doing, whatever honor you think you're upholding by letting this happen... It's stupid. All that's gonna happen is your gonna come back and you're just going to forget everyone you've known, who you are... You'll forget me, eventually. So... please." Myka reached up, cupping his face with her hand and forcing him to look at her. "Let me help you."

His eyes opened and he met hers, and only her eyes. He stared into the depth of her dark iris and saw her pain. She wanted to help. Perhaps she'd been sent here, an angel to forgive him and save him.

"Yes," he said and offered her the shirt back, "But please redress. This isn't the place and I am most definitely not ready for that much as of yet."

Myka nodded and pulled her shirt back on, sloppily buttoning it back up. She couldn't help but sigh in relief; at least he was listening to her, but she knew from the looks of his collar that they didn't have a lot of time to waste.

"Where do you want to go?"

He stood up, his hands shaking as he pushed off the table. He stood before her, eyes open and still on her face. He turned and motioned to the back of the house.

"The bedroom, if you will. I believe that is where this is meant to happen. Are you sure you wouldn't reconsider the marriage option?"

"I... No," Myka said. "Believe me I am... Not marriage material."

At least, not when it came to Leonardo Da Vinci. The least being the fact that he was ridiculously out of her league, the most being he would probably regret that a lot more than the sex in the morning.

She grabbed his hand, urging him in the direction of the bedroom. She didn't care where it happened but Myka figured if he was gonna be weird about this, he might as well be comfortable.

"I highly doubt that," he said giving her a little smile. At least he hadn't lost that boyish smile of his.

He went into the bedroom and almost left. He felt awkward. He shouldn't be here with a woman. He knew they had had sex before, but he'd blocked it out. He didn't want to think about her like that. It was all going so wrong.

Myka closed the door behind them. Usually when she was in her, Leonardo was much more the daring of the two of them. She usually came off more nervous and unambitious when it came to their bedroom antics, but he had been working on opening her up more. She figured it was long overdo for her to step up and call the shots.

She wanted to start slow, though, so she came up to him and put her hands on his shoulders. Myka leaned forward and gently pressed her lips to his, keeping the kiss gentle and mostly chaste.

"See?" she said, pulling away a little and looking at him. "That wasn't so awful."

He turned away from the kiss, his pants uncomfortably tight. It made him feel guilty and insecure.

"It was still wrong, but I'll try and do it for you," he said stroking his hand over her cheek. He dropped his hands and then his eyes. Perhaps he'd been wrong and she was actually the devil.

Myka's heart skipped a beat, and she was worried she was losing him again. She grabbed his cheeks and pulled him to her again, covering his mouth with her lips in a longer, more passionate kiss. In her heart of hearts she knew that coercing him into this was wrong, but she also knew this wasn't Leonardo. He'd been whammied and she was going to have to go some serious lengths to fix it.

Panting, she pulled away from him and tried to meet his eye with her gaze. "I'm not going to let you die."

"Because you love me?" he asked his eyes wide and innocent. It was almost as if he needed her to love him. He'd never acted that way before. He'd never let himself ask for that. It was as if he'd put all his faith into God, because he hadn't felt he could put faith into mankind.
