You keep sayin that like I'm suggesting something else. Don't give a guy the wrong idea here, sweetheart. Don't know where that mind of yours is wandering off to, but I can handle 'just dinner'.
Wise prophet once said good things come to those who wait
[ he doesn't actually know if it's a prophet, and he's impatient as hell, but she doesn't need to know that. he's grabbing the few fresher ingredients he'd recently grabbed and packing them in a small bag, equip with that six pack. yeah, he heard her rules.
he's never followed them well. ]
Don't get too antsy without me. Shoot me an address and I'll be there ASAP.
[ What? She likes being a pain in the ass. Chloe isn't exactly a pro at her own rules either hence... Even letting him come over to her place. She also knows this is probably a terrible idea, but her life is pretty pathetic right now so at least Dean can bring some much needed entertainment.
She texts him his address before she starts to at least pick up the dirty clothes and toys laying around the house. Don't expect more than that though, Dean, especially when she answers the door in jeans and a frumpy sweater. ]
[ a chuckle is cast toward his phone before it's tucked into his pocket, surveying a quick route via maps. he wasn't all that familiar with los angeles, but from the few times he'd been there— most of which included running into her, he recognized enough.
it's more than showing some skin and an easy lay that attracts dean, believe it or not, the whole sweater and jeans look has it's own appeal. with knuckles rapping at the door, he's standing in no more than a red and black flannel, pair of jeans and boots himself. he doesn't make an effort to hide the six pack that's in one hand, food now shifted into the other as he awaits her figure at the entry. ]
[ She's answers the door just having shoved some of Trixie's toys under a couch, so she's a little breathless and disheveled looking by the time she gets there. Chloe clears her throat, smoothing down her sweater and opening the door wider so she can gesture for him to come in. ]
I'd say sorry for the mess but you're the one who dropped in with no warning.
[ Her face says annoyed, but her tone says she's happy for the distraction.
She glances at the six-pack. ]
Listening is not one of your strong points, is it?
i am so far! i've wanted to watch it forever, your chloe gave me the nudge ok.
So, your place? At least in the comfort of your own home ya should be able to think of plenty of things to interrogate me about.
omg that makes me so happy :3
Wait, why is she entertaining this. ]
Okay. But just dinner.
